One of my drum students is also studying at the Philadelphia School of Rock, so I went to see him perform, and ran into the a drummer acquaintance who played in another project of my WormRider bandmates, who is also a teacher there.

I asked if and how one might get substitute work, and he asked me to cover for him.

That was over a week ago. After doing some quick HR hoops, I spent the day (yesterday) rocking and playing and teaching and learning with some very exciting young drummers.

It’s turning on lights inside me that I forgot were there.
